Q. Is our beef grass-fed?
A. Yes. Some may call it grass, farmer terminology is hay.

Our cattle are fed an all vegetarian diet that consist of both grains and roughage. This allows for our cattle to have a balanced, nutritious diet that their bodies are designed to handle.


Q. Are your products organic?
A. Yes, some of our products are certified organic. Some are not, but are naturally raised. They are raised without the use of growth hormones, feed additives to enhance growth and antibiotics on a daily basis and packaged without preservatives or dyes.

An example of when antibiotics would be used would be in rare cases. From time to time it may be necessary to treat a small calf with an antibiotic since they are easily susceptible to changes in the weather (rain, snow, heat, etc.). They are only treated when needed, unlike other beef where the animals are given antibiotics on a daily basis throughout their growth. We at Heffron Farms firmly believe that animals should be treated humanely.
